Day 44 - Just one more day in Alice

23/05/11
Today the car went in for a service so while its in there we went for another exporation of town.

First a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor base. Had a tour then checked out the displays - interesting to see the good work which continues now - alos noted that the number of incidents is increasing mainly due to the amount of grey nomads on the roads.

 Next to the Reptile Centre.

After a talk and demo of some animals we got to have a go at handling them starting with the pyhon which got passed around to lots of people large and small.

Also a chance to hang onto the beared dragon and blue tongue.

Next checking out the displays including frank the goanna who roams aroiund the building as he wishes.

Next over the Todd River to the Olive Pink Botanic Garden - a rela desert garden named after anothe colourful character.

Then a walk along the Todd River - would be interesting to see it with water in it.

Then went for a wander up the main street - noted that school zones are active all day long.

Back to pick up the car and one more night at the scout hall.
