Day 100 - the Road to WA

18/07/11

18/07/11

Packed up and on the road again - next stop Victoria River - quoted as the largest freshwater river in Oz - impressive considering the way the river levels fluctuate in this part of the world.  Even threw a lure in but with no success.

As we drove further west started to see more and more Boab trees of all shapes and sizes.  Then stopped at another crossing of the river which leads into Government Army land - an interesting sign on the other side reads "Danger - do not touch anything as it is may explode in your face".

Began to see the country rising around us again with these amazing ridges running along the escarpments - they're so straight you'd swear they were built by human hands - though doggie remained unimpressed...

We stopped at another free camp for the night and settled for yet another BBQ dinner.
