Went back to our house again this morning before leaving and we're confident we've left it in good hands with family who are renting. We also said farewell to our neighbors Cliff and Robin who have been very kind to us and who will miss Rosie (and vice versa).
Had to take Rosie to the vet today - she ate the cat's food and milk at Pat's place as well as running around all day - seems she's sprained a leg and generally tuckered out - hopefully she'll be back to her bouncy best in a couple of days.
Well we thought the day would never come. The planning and the worry and the spending has culminated in our first day on the road.
I would be interested in running our car and caravan over a weigh bridge to see what we're carrying - then again maybe I don't want to know... Maybe later - all I know is that we can expect to average 20l/100km under tow!!
Off into the Sunset - got as far as Denman tonight - approx 200km from home - not very impressive but it's a start. We're parked at a rest stop just north of Denman and our first official free camping site. Plenty of green around gere from all the recent rains.
Onwards and westwards tomorrow - we'll take our time getting to Broken Hill
