After packing up the van and checking everything, went back to cousin Helen's place for a lovely home cooked meal for lunch. Left the van parked outside their house where they have a watlle in full bloom They told us that 18 months ago there was nothing but dust - nature recovers quickly with some rain.
Then off to check out the local Mint and Museum. All kinds of minerals displayed in jewellry settings as well as the biggest paitning on canvas in the world - 100m long by 5m high by a local bloke called John Andreson - apparently took him 6 months to do it and depicts the whole Broken Hill township and surrounds.
Our camp is typicla of those along the way - just a bin, some trees and not much else. In this case someone has gone to the trouble of painting up a couple of blocks of concrete as dice. After a good night's sleep we decided to build a fire, then pack up and on thr road again.

Great God! You let Sean have an axe?! Hope you bring back some good axe skills Sean. You'll be in charge of the firewood.
